About the Platform
A trusted network connecting community movements, CBOs, and NGOs across Zambia to lead climate action — together.
Our Mission
Climate Actors Zambia exists to surface and connect the grassroots organisations doing the most important climate work in Zambia — community-based organisations, NGOs, cooperatives, and local government bodies who are often invisible to funders, policymakers, and each other.
By bringing them together in a shared, verified directory, we help climate actors discover each other, post their resources and needs, and form the partnerships that accelerate real action on the ground.
What We Do
- DiscoverBrowse a verified directory of climate actors across all provinces of Zambia, filterable by focus area, region, and actor type.
- ConnectPost offers (skills, funding, equipment, training) and needs (labour, expertise, partnerships) on the Matching Board. AI-assisted matching surfaces the most relevant connections.
- CollaborateUse organisation profiles to understand who is doing what, where, and how — then reach out directly to build partnerships.
- MobiliseTrack community assets, share data, and build the collective intelligence needed to mobilise resources at scale.
Trust & Verification
Organisations on the platform that display a Verified badge have undergone a light-touch verification process — confirming they are a real, registered entity active in climate work in Zambia. Verification helps users make informed decisions about who to connect and partner with.
All organisations on the platform are responsible for the accuracy of their own listings. Climate Actors Zambia does not endorse specific organisations or guarantee the outcomes of any partnerships formed through the platform.
Who Built This
Climate Actors Zambia is an initiative under the Zambian Governance Foundation. It is built by and for Zambian civil society, with the goal of centering community-led solutions to the climate crisis.
